As we do every year, in mid-January we publish the holiday destinations that our readers particularly liked last year.

Mediterranean muse: The listed manor Le Rossignol in the German wine-growing region Markgräflerland is a carefully renovated, atmospheric place that combines history and zeitgeist with the lightness of southern France.
