At Gut Fergitz in the Uckermark, just an hour’s drive from the metropolis of Berlin, you will find wide open skies, clear waters, beautiful nature – and modern architecture. On the shores of the lake “Oberuckersee”, two houses, each containing two apartments, have been built on the grounds of a former agricultural estate. The elongated, flat buildings also feature projections and recesses, and combine exposed brick, timber surfaces and brightly plastered porches. The clear, precise lines of their exteriors continue inside; the apartments feature panoramic windows, screed floors and modern, reduced furnishings. But the old hasn’t been forgotten: Each apartment is decorated with selected antiques, and on the grounds the stone walls of an old barn have been preserved as a picturesque ruin.
Gut Fergitz is a centre of art and culture. The estate’s barn hosts several cultural events including the UM Festival. The artworks exhibited in each apartment can also be purchased. There is also a holiday home on the estate with room for up to 9 people: the former milking house, called the Stone House because of its fieldstone façade.

Erholung pur!
Schöne Häuser, toller Ort !
