Casa Agila

Holiday home Casa Agila

On a secluded hill, just four kilometres from the baroque town of Noto, sits the holiday home Casa Agila, which blends modern architecture with regional influences and offers space for four people. The clearly structured bungalow extends between two massive natural stone walls and has a full-surface window front looking out to the sea and the south-eastern tip of Sicily, merging into a spacious terrace. It is protected from the sun and wind by the green flat roof and the protruding side walls. Wood, steel furniture and stone dominate the interior.
The outdoor area not only offers various seating and lounging areas, its outdoor kitchen and large dining table also invite guests to enjoy a convivial tavolata. Right in front of the terrace is the long, narrow saltwater pool, its oscillating blue promises a cool dip with sea view.

To the left and right of the open-plan living room and kitchen are the two double bedrooms with two en-suite bathrooms. Large sliding doors are located between the bedrooms and the living room, allowing the living space to be extended. The window front opens wide to the terrace via sliding doors: to the archaic landscape, the breeze in the olive trees and the chirping of the crickets.

What to do

Relaxing, swimming in the pool, hiking, biking, cooking, enjoying, swimming in the sea, excursions to the various beaches, to the Cava del Carosello nature reserve or to the Tonnara of Vendicari, an old tuna factory, a visit to the beautiful late Baroque city of Noto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, or to Syracuse, steeped in its Greek history.

Why we like this house

A quiet place surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation, a house that surprises with a clever open floor plan.
