Die 22

Holiday home Die 22

The main house of the farm ensemble in the small village of Petersdorf in the Uckermark, which also includes a former barn, was restored a few years ago, taking into account the historical features and bringing it into the present with bright, open rooms and contemporary design. Facing the street, the former farmhouse features typical arched windows, artistically patterned, sage-coloured shutters and a double-leaf entrance door. Wherever possible, the old building fabric has been preserved or faithfully restored, such as the roof covering with antique hand-painted hollow tiles. While the front of the house has remained true to its history, the view to the garden side has a new look: a wide window front opens up the midnight blue kitchen and dining room with long table and fireplace to the sun terrace – and the view of the farm garden with its fruit trees, flowering shrubs and herb beds, as well as the neighbouring field, forest and meadows.

The closeness to nature is also reflected inside: floors with regional Brandenburg Douglas fir planks, terrazzo, walls made of clay plaster and marsh lime. And the mix of modern, clear furnishings, occasional details in rich colours and curated works of art form an invigorating contrast to the old building fabric. The three bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, can accommodate up to six guests in total. Two of the bedrooms are located on the ground floor and face north. The converted attic offers an open-plan living area that is bathed in light thanks to the many skylights, with a cosy reading corner between the historic beams and a further bedroom with its own bath.

In the future, the barn will also be converted into a habitable space, until then the holiday home with its extensive grounds is exclusively available to guests. The wooden terrace, the paved courtyard and the large garden with sun loungers and various seating areas invite you to be outside. You can have a barbecue or chill out in front of the fire bowl, while a trampoline ensures you can jump for joy.

What to do

Hiking, e.g. in the Uckermark Lakes Nature Park, in the Grumsin Beech Forest or in the Lower Oder Valley National Park, cycling, swimming and bathing, e.g. at Lake Lübbesee (10 min. walk) or in the Templin natural spa, boat trips, water sports, varied children's programme, e.g. Climbing forest, barefoot adventure park, go-kart track or zoo, excursions to Prenzlau, Templin (‘Pearl of the Uckermark’), the historic old town of Angermünde, Chorin Monastery or the rafting town of Lychen, situated between seven lakes, there are numerous farm shops and markets, regional cuisine in ‘Maiks kleine Hofwirtschaft’ and many other charming restaurants
