Natural diversity. The Fuchsegg Eco Lodge is surrounded by meadows, forests and mountains. A multifaceted place that blends the advantages of a hotel with the immediate proximity to nature. The focus on sustainability and regionality is reflected in the architecture, which recalls the Vorarlberg tradition of timber construction and craftsmanship. The simple, straight-lined structures of the buildings were designed in the style of the “Vorsäß” houses, typical of the Bregenzerwald, which merge clearly and gently into the landscape.
Spread over 9,000 square metres and three houses, there are 24 versatile living units that create a space for all generations to spend time together and offer the right accommodation for every taste and requirement – be it family, couples, groups of friends or retreats. In addition, there is a sauna house with outdoor pool, a guesthouse featuring a library, lounge and yoga rooms, as well as the Tenn, a barn with e-bike rental and children’s play area. A weather-protected connection between the six houses was intentionally avoided, because nature and its seasons are meant to be experienced each time anew when switching houses.
Guests can choose from five different room types: From the double rooms to the ground-level lofts, some of which feature a fireplace and impressive room height, to the lodges and spacious flux chalets, which are particularly suitable for a family getaway. And those looking for even more space will find enough room in the apartments sleeping four to eight adults.
Each accommodation has been designed in a way that allows both retreat and conviviality. All units are bathed in light and feature furnishings made in the region. A recurring eye-catcher is the colour concept, which originates from the local blueberry – a childhood memory of the owner who grew up amidst the forests of Schetteregg. A pleasant contrast to the silver fir wood and an invitation to discover the beauties of nature in person.
