Apartment Gutshof Fredenwalde

New life for an old estate in the Uckermark! Gutshof Fredenwalde is located in the middle of the Schorfheide-Chorin biosphere reserve and only about an hour’s drive from Berlin. This heritage-listed estate, which is comprised of a baroque manor house, several outbuildings and a six-hectare landscaped park, has been extensively renovated and revitalised over several years. The manor house is used privately; the old farm buildings have been converted into holiday apartments and event rooms.

The apartments, which differ in terms of building structure and size, are furnished in a modern country house style. Straight-lined fireplaces, classic furniture and antique create a refined counterpoint to the rustic ambience of the buildings. The four maisonette apartments in the former granary are characterised by the construction materials of the period, including fieldstone, brick and larch wood. The raw feel of the reinforced concrete construction, the wooden ceilings, the open beams in the bedrooms on the top floor and the timber boxes in which the bathrooms are located emphasise the stable-like character of the building. The apartments each feature two terraces: one facing east towards the estate park, the other facing west towards the inner courtyard of the ensemble. Three holiday apartments with high rooms that are open right under the roof beams have been created in the Remise. The largest apartment on the property, 220 square metres, is located here. Those who need less space will find suitable accommodation in the gatehouse and in the micro-apartments in the old stables. 

Various rooms are available for events such as family celebrations, seminars, workshops or yoga retreats. There is a sauna in the old coach house and a heated outdoor pool built into the walls of a former stable building. The spacious park with two ponds, a playground and seating areas invites you out to stroll, play and relax. The grounds also feature a tennis court.

Hiking, cycling, canoeing, swimming in the surrounding lakes, biosphere reserve Schorfheide Chorin, the towns of Prenzlau, Templin and Angermünde, Boitzenburg Castle with its landscape park, trolley rides, UM festival for art, literature and music.
