Family owned for over 100 years, Hotel Hinteregger has been remodeled and enlarged over several generations. Old and new are clearly perceptible and yet harmoniously united. Modern architecture meets historic cross vaults and a traditional farmhouse parlor. The old hotel was connected to the neighbouring village cinema. The movie theater was then extended in height and width, and enclosed in a wood and glass shell. The former exterior wall of the cinema was plastered with clay, and now serves as an oversized in-room wall heater. The wellness area in the new wing echoes the classical elements: stone, clay, wood and water. Instead of films you can watch a “landscape movie“ through broad windows: the lead actor is the mountain crest “Tauernhauptkamm”.
The dining room, newly built in 2011, also has huge windows. The architects have erected a large single-storey glass panel in front of the house, and then extended the building to meet the glass – you sit on the former outdoor terrace. The pleasantly quiet and simple room radiates urban flair.
Ten years after the first annex was completed, five rooms in the old building were redesigned and enlarged by a conservatory-like extension. Its ornamental, white-coated metal cladding connects the side wooden facade with the plastered street side and sets an interesting design accent. The refurbished rooms have been fitted with glass-walled wet cells. The beds are placed in the extension. Small, with stone pine wood clad separees are retreats within the rooms.

Owner
The inn has always been passed on from generation to generation to a daughter. Since 2003, Katharina Hradecky has been running the hotel in the fourth generation together with her husband, the veterinarian Bernd Hradecky. With a will to innovate and perseverance, they have renewed the hotel – always with the aim of offering guests more comfort, amenities and "something special" during their holiday.
