The baroque Palazzo San Gabriele stands in the centre of Palermo’s bustling old town, surrounded by the oldest aristocratic palaces and some of the most important museums in the Sicilian capital. The narrow Via Alloro – the Laurel Street – leads from the city centre directly to the waterfront promenade past numerous bars, cafés and restaurants. The studio apartment, Atelier Palermo, is located on the third floor of the lovingly renovated palazzo. The way there leads up an imposing staircase and suggests the wealth of the original owners. Rooms up to seven metres high with an open roof structure offer a creative working environment. The large windows with their balconies in front provide an unobstructed view of the narrow streets and, thanks to the privileged location, the sun shines into the apartment all day long. The total area of 150 square metres offers space for people who want to live and work together for one or more weeks. Thanks to the underfloor heating, this is also possible in the winter months.
