The Pohnstorf estate is located in the middle of the vast landscape of Mecklenburg Switzerland, around two hours from Berlin. Since 2017, the 19th century manor house has been run by Kamila and Fabian Sösemann, who are happy to share the tranquillity and uniqueness of the historic property with their guests. The old floorboards, large French doors and high windows of the listed building create an atmosphere that is as stately as it is spacious – with a wonderfully informal atmosphere throughout the premises. The Blue Salon and the Entrée offer plenty of space for celebrations or meetings, the large hall can be used for dancing, meditation or meetings, and the manor kitchen is ideal for communal cooking. The seven holiday suites (all named after extraordinary women from the time when the estate was founded, such as Margarete Steiff, Marie Curie and Clara Schumann) are furnished with a charming mix of antique furniture and contemporary design. The sauna in the vaulted cellar invites you to relax – and the extensive garden offers countless cosy corners for lounging, reading, playing boules or swimming in the pond behind the house.
